In Windows XP, you can access the settings for your Local Area Network (LAN) connection through the control panel.
Getting to your LAN Settings
1. Click on Start -> Settings -> Network Connections
2. Click on "Create a new connection"
3. A wizard will pop up, to walk you through the steps. Click next.
4. select "connect to the Internet", and press next
5. Select "Set up my connection manually", and press next
6. Select the option stating you need a username, and password, and press select.
7. Give your connection a name, such as Lightning Bolt DSL, and press next.
8. Enter your username, and password in, and press next.
9. Press finish, and you are all set to now use your new Lightning Bolt DSL Connection.
